Edward R. Grossman, DMD. FAGD
Dr. Grossman’s passion is outstanding dentistry. A native of the Philadelphia area, Dr. Grossman graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1991. He then completed a one-year General Practice Residency at Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia. In 1996, he established Lionville Family Dentistry, and has provided quality dental care to residents of Exton, Pennsylvania, and surrounding areas ever since. He is a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry, a designation conferred upon dentists who have completed continuing education courses well beyond what is required to maintain dental practice privileges in Pennsylvania.
Additionally, Dr. Grossman volunteers regularly “in our own backyard.” For 17 years he has provided dental care to an underserved population of patients through Community Volunteers in Medicine (CVIM) in West Chester and Avon Grove, Pennsylvania. These clinics serve Chester County residents who would otherwise have no access to dental care.
Dr. Grossman has received a number of awards, including a nomination in the Consumers Research Council’s Guide to America’s Top Dentists, which is a non-profit agency that accepts no sponsorships or contributions in order to ensure unbiased selections. He is also a member of many professional organizations, including:

- Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry
- The Pennsylvania Academy of General Dentistry
- The Chester-Delaware County Dental Society
Dr. Grossman currently lives in West Chester with his wife, Shelly, and their pets, June (Goldendoodle), and Maya and Monty (cats). They have two children, Ben, who is now a dentist, and Liddy, who is currently in law school in Washington state.
Since 2018, Dr. Grossman has served as a faculty member at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He spends Fridays teaching third and fourth-year dental students, helping them develop their skills and become the best practitioners they can be. This commitment to education reflects his dedication to both his patients and the next generation of dental professionals.

Erin – Office Manager
Erin has been a dedicated member of the practice since 2010. She holds a degree in Communications from Villanova University. As the office manager, Erin helps ensure the practice runs smoothly by managing schedules, billing and patient processes. She works closely with the team to help patients feel supported and informed throughout their visits. Erin values the family atmosphere within the practice, where team members and patients alike form lasting connections. Erin is proud to be part of a practice that cares deeply about every individual and believes Dr. Grossman is an outstanding leader and boss. Outside of the office, she enjoys playing tennis and pickleball.
Jessica – Dental Hygienist
Jessica has been with the practice since 2011. She earned her dental hygiene degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, class of 1993. With over 14 years of experience, Jessica builds meaningful relationships with her patients and contributes to a strong, team-based environment. She has three college-aged daughters and enjoys traveling (especially to the beach), walking and biking. A devoted fan of college football and the Eagles, Jessica loves balancing her professional life with quality time spent with her family.
Laura – Dental Hygienist
Laura joined our team in 2017. She enjoys engaging her patients by educating them on the latest findings in dentistry and home care, and by explaining procedures further to clarify their questions and address any concerns they may have. Laura enjoys the positive atmosphere of our office, and appreciates that Dr. Grossman takes the time to explain procedures to patients so that they leave feeling respected and happy.
Laura graduated magna cum laude from the Montgomery Colorado Community College Dental Hygiene Program with an Associate in Science degree. She served as class president and was a member of the honor society. Laura is a classically trained flutist, and taught the flute while in school. She currently sings and play guitar in a rock band.
Susan – Dental Hygienist
Susan has been part of the practice since 2019. With a career in dentistry spanning over 30 years, she brings a wealth of experience and a genuine passion for patient care to the team. She began her dental career as a dental assistant and later graduated from Harcum College in 1994 to become a licensed dental hygienist. Susan is known among her colleagues as the “Sharpening Queen” for hygiene instruments and is always ready to lend a hand when needed. She enjoys the sense of teamwork and collaboration that defines the office culture.
Outside of work, Susan is married and has two grown children. She enjoys gardening, DIY projects around the house and spending time with her family. Together, they love skiing in the Poconos and making the most of time outdoors.
Sara – Dental Assistant
Since joining the team in July 2014, Sara has brought kindness and compassion to her role as a dental assistant. She studied at Harris Business School, where she earned her medical assistant certification. Sara takes pride in helping patients feel comfortable and at ease, and she finds joy in seeing patients leave with a smile. She is passionate about volunteer work, including international service in Jamaica and local efforts in Chester County. Her family has been coming to the practice for years, and she deeply values the supportive and family-like environment.
Robyn – Front Desk
Robyn has been a welcoming presence at the front desk since 2017. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Villanova University and uses her healthcare background to help patients feel at ease. Robyn helps keep the office running efficiently by managing the schedule and answering patient questions. She loves being part of a team where both staff and patients create a friendly and enjoyable environment. Married for 39 years, Robyn has four children, one granddaughter and one fur baby. In her free time, she enjoys reading, college basketball and time at the beach.
Linda, Dental Hygienist
Linda joined the practice in February 2022 and brings over two decades of experience in dental hygiene. She graduated from Montgomery County Community College with her RDH degree in 1997. Linda is known for her gentle, thorough and efficient care. She is passionate about patient education and works to empower individuals to maintain their oral health and prevent cavities. Linda appreciates the small-office vibe and the camaraderie of the team. She is married with one son, one beagle and enjoys biking, hiking, reading and traveling.
Donna – EFDA (Expanded Functions Dental Assistant)
Donna joined the team in February 2025 as the newest member of the practice. She received her EFDA license in 2006 and brings a wealth of skills to assist in patient care. Donna has a strong passion for dentistry and is excited to work in a supportive and welcoming environment. She helps maintain clinical excellence while making every patient feel valued. Donna is grateful to be part of such an outstanding team and looks forward to connecting with every patient. She has two daughters and one granddaughter. She enjoys vacationing, long walks and baking.
